Zwingrow thinks about the health of employees and consumers and (therefore) about the safety and quality of life of the environment. A green label greenhouse has therefore been realized at the newest location on the Poeldijksepad. A green label greenhouse meets the requirements set by the government for an environmentally friendly greenhouse and the installations required for cultivation, such as an environmentally friendly water technical installation and an environmentally friendly heating installation.

Zwingrow has also been working with integrated biological crop protection since its foundation. The rapid identification of diseases and pests is of the utmost importance to prevent damage to the fruit and the crop and to ensure that biological crop protection is successful.

During their work in the greenhouses, employees carry data collection boxes with them with which they register their activities. They also use the boxes to register growth abnormalities, diseases and unwanted insects that they have identified. The data collected in the boxes is automatically sent to a central computer. As a result, there is always an up-to-date overview of the diseases and pests present and appropriate adjustments can be made.
